Chronic illness
With experience and qualifications in nursing and mental health in the community, I will partner with you to develop a strength-based plan for thriving, using tools that are accessible and help create goal based progress.
Ageing
Let’s face it, sometimes getting older sneaks up on us!
Being an older woman or an older man as you age without companionship is a lonely place.
Partnering with a Counsellor to navigate these new and sometimes overwhelming changes and rewrite the narrative you may have taken on can usher in the best years of your life, full of new and revisited opportunities and hope. Together we will challenge mindsets that hold you back, help you explore unrealised dreams and seek out ways to make them a reality and learn how to adjust comfortably to acceptance of the things that can't be changed.
Is depression and loneliness normal in older adults?
While both depression and loneliness can be more common as we age, speaking to a Counsellor can help you reconnect with your resilience and creativity to discover new ways of doing life that will help you transition into a new and uncharted season. We can explore beliefs and expectations around ageing that may not fit you anymore and help find new ways of thinking that will support you rather than pull you down.
Are you a person caring for someone living with dementia?
My backgrounnd in dementia assessment and care provides a practical and compasiionate space to unpack the many challenges and emotions that come with being a carer.
Additionally, I offer assistance to those who are grappling with feelings of depression as they navigate the challenges of later life.
