What to expect

Sessions are usually an hour, however can be shorter or longer by mutual agreement. Your first session will be an assessment and you will be provided with an idea of what form future counselling will take. If I determine you are in need of acute care or more specialty supports, I will refer you on to an appropriate agency or service. Sometimes you will be encouraged to “do homework”. The space between visits is equally valuable and allows you time to apply what we discuss. There may be some handouts and worksheets to keep you focused between sessions.
